COOK – Brazilian Restaurant – Diamond Beach, NSW

Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working to assist our client who runs a highly regarded Brazilian restaurant located in Diamond Beach, NSW. Providing traditional Brazilian cuisine at its finest and adapting these dishes using local Australian ingredients, our client has become one of the most popular Brazilian restaurants in Sydney and is now expanding.

This busy restaurant proudly serves authentic Brazilian staples, such as feijoda, moqueca and burrito bowls, alongside their exquisite gourmet pizzas and mixed BBQ plates.

Our client is now seeking a current Cook to join their happy and productive kitchen team. A top salary negotiable in the range of $80k to $85k plus superannuation per annum is on offer.

Responsibilities of our Cook will include:

·High standard meals preparation and quality control (checks of raw materials, temperature controls).

·Ensure compliance of the HACCP system regarding food handling procedures.

·Portion and plate foods in accord with company policy and procedures.

·Hygienic food storage in refrigerators.

·Training of kitchen staff and apprentices as required.

·You have a well organised working style – able to cheerfully meet demanding work requirements.

·You can work independently, as part of a team, and have an excellent communication style.

·You have a passion for the hospitality industry and are up to date on techniques and food trends.

·You have an unwavering commitment to flavour and presentation of the highest quality.

To be successfully considered for the role you:

·Possess relevant Certificate IV or agreed substitute.

·Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience since earning your qualifications.

·Are available across the working week, including weekends.

·Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.

·Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.

·Have experience working in a similar cuisine and skilled setting.

You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
