Applications will be reviewed as they are received, with suitable Electricians progressing quickly to assessment.What You'll DoInstall and maintain traffic signals and roadway lighting.Test, diagnose and repair electrical faults.Work on roadside technology, communications and monitoring equipment.Complete electrical work safely across changing metropolitan worksites.What You NeedYou need this sorted before you start:Current Queensland Electrical Mechanic licenceCurrent LVR/CPRConstruction White CardCurrent Queensland C-class driver's licenceAvailability for night shift and travel across BrisbaneConfidence completing electrical testing and fault findingAbility to complete the required practical skills assessment and pre-employment checksExperience in traffic signals, road lighting, infrastructure, industrial maintenance, field service, control systems or communications will be useful.An MR licence, EWP licence over 11 metres, Working in Proximity to Traffic competencies or ACMA cabling registration will also be viewed favourably, but are not essential for every applicant.The Roster and RatesThe immediate requirement is a four-night week, generally Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of Sunday night work.Night shift: $75 to $78 per hourOrdinary day shift: $50 to $52 per hour38-hour working weekInitial engagement through to 18 December ****Potential six-month extension, subject to operational requirementsOther day, night, weekend or callout work may become available depending on the work program.About the Workplaceyou'll join an experienced infrastructure team responsible for electrical assets that directly support the safety and operation of Brisbane's road network.The work is varied, purposeful and completed across multiple metropolitan locations.
