Sheet Metal Supervisor - Afternoon ShiftWe are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Supervisor (Afternoon Shift) to join Aussie Sheet Metal in Berrinba, QLD.
This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and oversee sheet metal operations whilst ensuring quality, safety and efficiency standards are maintained.
As Sheet Metal Supervisor, you will play a vital role in managing our production team, maintaining operational excellence and contributing to the strategic success of our manufacturing operations.
This role requires on-site presence in our Berrinba facility.Key responsibilitiesSupervise and manage sheet metal machine operators and production staff, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and quality standardsMonitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs whilst maintaining high-quality outputConduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environmentTrain and mentor machine operators on equipment operation, best practices and company proceduresLiaise with senior management to report on production metrics, challenges and opportunities for improvementMaintain accurate production records and documentation in compliance with company requirementsTroubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise downtimeEnsure compliance with relevant workplace health and safety legislation and company policiesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation within the sheet metal departmentWhat we're looking forProven supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal environment,



preferably within the last 3-5 yearsStrong knowledge of sheet metal machinery, equipment operation and manufacturing processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectivelySound understanding of workplace health and safety obligations and best practicesDemonstrated ability to manage production schedules and meet quality targetsProblem-solving mindset with robust attention to detailProficiency in reading technical drawings and specificationsRelevant qualifications or certifications in manufacturing, supervision or safety (preferred but not essential)Physical capability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and varying temperaturesAbout usAussie Sheet Metal is a leading manufacturer specialising in sheet metal production and guard rail solutions.
