Behaviour Support Practitioner- Tuggerah Allied Health - Part TimeChallenge Community Services - Tuggerah NSWWe're looking for a passionate and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our growing Allied Health team based in Tuggerah.In this role, you will support individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern by developing, implementing, and reviewing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs).
Your work will focus on improving quality of life, promoting independence, and reducing restrictive practices through evidence-based, person-centred approaches.You will work across a diverse client group, providing therapeutic support, guidance, and training to individuals, families, carers, and support teams.

and carersConduct functional behaviour assessmentsSupport reduction and elimination of restrictive practicesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholdersSkills and Experience:Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, or a related fieldCurrent Behaviour Support Practitioner (BSP) registration, or demonstrated eligibility to obtain registration.Experience developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support PlansDemonstrated experience supporting individuals with disability, mental health, or complex behavioural needsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsKnowledge of trauma-informed practicesAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentCurrent Driver's Licence, Working With Children Check, NSW NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Check.Experience within the Out of Home Care sectorExperience working in Mental Health settingsExperience providing behaviour support supervisionStrong group facilitation and training skillsAbout Us:For over 65 years, Challenge Community Services has been empowering individuals and strengthening communities.
