About the Role
As a Learn to Play Instructor, you will design and deliver engaging, high-quality programs that help children build foundational skills in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
You'll create memorable experiences, promote positive behaviour, and contribute to a welcoming community space.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver well-planned, engaging Learn to Play classes tailored to children's developmental needsPrepare equipment and the learning environment before sessionsPromote YMCA values and ensure a safe, positive and inclusive environmentBuild friendly, cooperative relationships with children, families and community groupsSupport the centre's programs through teamwork, communication and professionalismUphold all safeguarding, safety, and risk management requirements

Children feel comfortable, supported and excited to participateLessons run smoothly and safely, with equipment properly managedCustomer enquiries and concerns are handled promptly and professionallyYou model YMCA values and contribute positively to the team and centre culture
What You'll Bring
Current First Aid & CPR CertificateWorking With Children Check (NSW)Experience coaching junior sports or a formal coaching certificateExperience working with children and familiesSelf-motivated and customer-focused approachFriendly, welcoming and supportive personalityStrong communication skillsTeam-oriented, reliable and eager to learn
