If you're a Building Designer who thinks beyond how something looks to how it will actually be built and function, this could be a great next step.Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy looking for a Building Designer with around 2–5 years' experience to join their Brisbane or Toowoomba team.Why is this role different?
You're not joining a traditional architectural practice or design studio.You'll work alongside Building Designers, Engineers and Project Managers, giving you exposure to the engineering and practical thinking behind good design.You'll work across a diverse mix of industrial, agricultural, processing and commercial projects, ranging from approximately $2M to major developments of $700M+.
It's about creating designs that look good,



work well and can actually be built.You'll be involved in:Revit modelling and documentationBuilding design and detailingDesign coordinationBut you won't be expected to stay on the drawing board forever.When your ready; you'll have the chance to take on more responsibility, client interaction, project coordination and eventually project management.About youYou'll ideally have:2–5 years' relevant experienceRevit capabilityA Building Design, Architectural Technology or similar backgroundA practical, problem-solving mindsetA desire to learn and progressMost importantly, we're looking for someone who's curious about how things actually work and how they're built.If you're looking for a role where you can learn from experienced people, broaden your skills and grow beyond drafting, we'd love to hear from you.
