You will bring deep expertise across Azure services including Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Data Lake Storage & Microsoft Fabric, combined with strong engineering, architecture & problem-solving skills.You will play a key role in delivering scalable data solutions, defining data strategy, strengthening governance & security, and partnering with business & technology teams to unlock the value of data.Top Role ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality data engineering solutions & project milestones within agreed timelines & scopeEnsure effective platform operations, lifecycle management & service reliabilityResolve production issues & service requests in a timely mannerMaintain data loads & platform performance in line with defined SLAsEnsure accurate data reconciliation & validation across source systemsOptimise ETL/ELT processes, performance & storage costsCollaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, Data Engineers & business stakeholdersChampion engineering best practices, continuous improvement & knowledge sharing across the teamTo be successful,



you will have:10+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing roles designing scalable, resilient data solutionsStrong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics & Azure SQLProven experience designing, building & maintaining scalable data pipelines & integration solutionsStrong understanding of modern data engineering principles, Lakehouse architecture & data lifecycle managementExpertise in SQL, data modelling, performance tuning & database optimisationExperience with data quality, validation, monitoring & troubleshootingStrong development skills in Python, PySpark & /or ScalaKnowledge of data governance, security, privacy & compliance frameworksExperience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git & Azure DevOpsExperience with data ingestion frameworks & event-driven architecturesExposure to Microsoft Fabric, Microservices & APIsExperience within Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) environments is highly regardedMicrosoft CertificationsLocation & Working Arrangements:This role must be based in Sydney & offers a flexible hybrid working model of office & working from home.What we're proud to offer you:Wellbeing leave.
