Through our operations we facilitate over $25 billion in international trade annually and are the key platform for South Australian two-way trade in goods.Role OverviewThe Solutions Architect is responsible for delivering enterprise level solution architecture across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring solutions are secure by design, cloud-aligned, integration-ready, and scalable for the future.
Reporting to the Group Manager Digital Architecture, the Solutions Architect operates across both business and technology domains, support project delivery while maintaining architectural integrity and alignment with FPH's strategic direction.
This includes a strong focus on cloud technologies, enterprise integration standardisation (API-first, event-driven patterns), IoT and edge computing, OT/IT convergence and network segmentation, enterprise data platform alignment, AI and emerging systems governance, and cyber resilience within a critical infrastructure environment.
The Solutions Architect brings cross domain capability, sound architectural judgement, and the ability to influence outcomes across a diverse range of stakeholders and initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide solution architecture leadership across multiple initiatives,



ensuring alignment with Flinders Port Holdings' enterprise architecture standards and strategic technology directionDevelop, review and govern solution designs, identifying and mitigating architectural risks relating to integration, security, scalability and operational resilienceGuide architecture across cloud, infrastructure and application domains, networking, identity, and platform servicesEnsure solutions follow up-to-date architecture principles, including cloud-native design, API-first integration, event-driven patterns and infrastructure-as-code where appropriateGovern integration architecture across SaaS, cloud and on-pem systems, including APIs, events, middleware platforms and canonical data models, while preventing point-to-point or vendor-locked solutionsProvide architectural oversight of IoT, operational technology and edge environments, ensuring secure integration between OT systems (SCADA, sensors, telemetry) and enterprise IT platformsAbout youYour skills and experience will include:Valid driver's licenceBachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or demonstrated experience as a Solutions Architect operating across multiple technology domainsExperience operating in critical infrastructure, regulated or complex enterprise environments, delivering secure and resilient technology solutionsStrong architecture capability across cloud technologies, hybrid infrastructure and enterprise platforms, including networking, operating systems, identity and authentication servicesExperience designing modern architectures using cloud-native,
