We are looking for someone who brings genuine enthusiasm and a deep care for children.Our Outside School Hours Care service is a valued and respected part of the St Thomas More School community, ensuring students are nurtured in a safe, supportive, and caring environment Before and After School as well as pupil free days.Key responsibilities include:Ensure a safe environment is maintained for children and employees.Apply skills, knowledge and experience, commensurate with qualification and role requirements, to ensure work is undertaken in accordance with OSHC policies and procedures to support the service in attaining and maintaining compliance with National Quality Framework and Standards.Actively contribute to the development of strong team work skills and the creation of a supportive team environment.Actively and positively participate in school and OSHC service activities, events, meetings, professional reviews, training and professional development activities to remain current with school protocols and industry standards and best practice.About YouTo be successful in the role, you will have experience and passion for working with young people in growth-focused, positive and professional ways:Demonstrated ability working and communicating effectively with children.
Experience working with children with additional needsAbility to implement positive and supportive behaviour management practices and be a good role model for studentsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProven ability to develop a strong positive rapport with students, staff, and parents/caregivers and foster effective professional relationships.Willingnessto uphold theculture andethos of Catholic schoolsAn active commitment to ongoing professional learning and developmentApplicants musthave an approved ACECQA qualification (A Certificate III qualification in a relevant discipline or other suitable qualification that meets the ACECQA approved standard for a Tier 2 Educator.
