About the role
We are seeking Registered Nurses Grade 2 in IRC - South.
In this role you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive multidisciplinary workplace.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care, working collaboratively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team to achieve the best possible outcomes.
You will play an important role in establishing therapeutic relationships, developing and evaluating plans of care, and supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Key responsibilities
Deliver safe, evidence-based, and consumer-centred nursing care in line with professional standards and Barwon Health valuesEstablish therapeutic relationships with patients to support optimal rehabilitation outcomesWork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualised plans of careMaintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure effective communication regarding patient care
What we're looking for
Minimum 12 months post-registration experience in an acute, rehabilitation, or subacute settingStrong clinical assessment, communication, and organisational skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamCommitment to patient-centred, compassionate,



and values-based care aligned with Barwon HealthDemonstrated motivation to learn, develop, and contribute to service improvementAbility to work independently within scope of practice while recognising when to escalation concerns
Inpatient Rehabilitation Centre
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Centre (IRC) has 100 beds, across three wards and involves rehabilitation service programs for a wide range of conditions, including:
Stroke and other neuro rehabilitationAmputeeTrauma – multi-trauma, orthopaedic, brain injury and spinal (excluding early spinal cord injury)Ortho Geriatric
This position will be based in IRC South which is focused on Trauma - multi-trauma, orthopaedic, brain injury and spinal
