With their continued growth and success, they are seeking a dedicated Flavour Assistant to enhance their technical team.Role Overview:As a Flavour assistant you will play a vital role supporting the Head Flavourist and R&D; team in the preparation of flavour formulations.
The role involves accurate compounding of raw materials, laboratory maintenance, documentation, quality compliance and participation in sensory evaluation, ensuring all activities meet GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Assist Flavourists in compounding flavour samples according to approved formulations, guidelines, and project briefs (typically ***** formulations per day)Accurately weigh, blend, and dilute raw materials including aroma chemicals, essential oils, and extractsPrepare flavour samples for internal sensory evaluation, customer submissions, and Quality Control (QC) testingSubmit finished products for QC verification and specification approvalMaintain adequate stock levels of raw materials, laboratory consumables, and packaging suppliesEnsure correct handling, storage, and disposal of raw materials in line with safety data sheets (SDS)



and risk assessmentsMaintain detailed electronic records in Dory of formulations, raw materials, inventory, and finished productsEnsure laboratory equipment, including weighing balances, is calibrated and functioning correctlyMaintain a clean, organised, and hygienic laboratory environmentSupport flavour evaluation sessions, sensory panels, and flavour library developmentProvide technical and application support to internal teams and assist with external customer briefsComply with GMP, HACCP, GLP, and workplace health and safety requirements at all timesSkills and Experience:Proficient computer skills, knowledge of Dory considered a significant advantageExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and accuracyReliable, proactive, and safety-focused work approachA Certificate, Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Chemistry or a related discipline or equivalent practical lab experienceThis is an exciting prospect to join a world-class organisation in the rapidly growing flavour and food industry.
