Opportunity to have a large impact, building mines from early stages of operational readiness, being involved from the very beginningPlay a key part in supporting MinRes' rapidly growing position in the lithium sector and be part of the growthMinRes Employee share plan + Great employee benefitsThe OpportunityAs the Alternate Underground Manager, you will execute the onsite restart and ramp-up of the underground mine at the Mount Marion Operation, guiding it to steady-state production.
Reporting to the Underground Manager, this pivotal role encompasses statutory compliance, contractor management, operational readiness and the delivery of onsite technical functions.
You will develop and implement processes that ensure safe, effective and sustainable operations.
This position will commence on an 8D6X roster, flying from Perth.Key ResponsibilitiesFulfill statutory responsibilities as the statutory Alternate Underground Mine ManagerDay to day contractor management of underground service providersWork collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement operational readiness for steady state underground productionSafely deliver and execute the underground mine planned physicals, costs, and infrastructure plans/schedulesSupervise and deliver short-term mine planning/scheduling, geotechnical, geological,



and survey functionsCollaborate with corporate commercial and technical teams that deliver the contracting strategy and mine plansEstablish positive, productive relationships with contractors, promoting communication and collaboration to achieve project objectivesChampion safety first culture ensuring compliance with all relevant safety policies, procedures, and regulationsWhat is RequiredTertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining) or equivalentWA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of CompetencyStrong background in underground mining, ideally large‐scale mechanised long‐hole stoping with pastefill operationsExperience ramping up underground projects and building onsite teams and processesProven contractor management, performance monitoring and compliance capabilityDemonstrated experience in operational and technical team leadershipFamiliarity with relevant mining software and technologiesExperience holding statutory Underground Manager responsibilitiesGrowth mindset with solid communication and relationship‐building skillsAbout Mt MarionMt Marion is located 40km south west of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.
MinRes manages all mining activities at Mt Marion, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes (SC6 equivalent).
