We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis.As a Chef at Mumtaaz Indian Bistro, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Indian dishes, ensuring that they are presented and served to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.
You will maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to the restaurant's menu and recipesEnsure that all dishes are prepared and served in a timely and efficient mannerMaintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentationMonitor and control portion sizes and food wastageTrain and supervise junior kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality in food preparationEnsure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all timesManage inventory and stock levels,



and place orders for ingredients and supplies as neededCollaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specialsMaintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all sanitation and safety proceduresAdhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, and food handling regulations.Requirements:Proven experience as a Chef of at least 1 year, preferably in an Indian restaurantExtensive knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniquesAbility to work in a quick-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong leadership and communication skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsA passion for food and a creative approach to cookingAbility to work well in a team and independentlyCertificate IV in Commercial Cookery/relevantqualifications in culinary arts or a related field is preferred.We offer a competitive salary of $73,000 to $78,000 plus superannuation, as well as opportunities for career growth and development within our company.
