About the RoleWe are looking for a Merchant Onboarding Associate to support merchant activation across Australia.
Reporting directly to the AU General Manager, you will work closely with Business Development, Compliance, and HQ Operations to help merchants complete the onboarding process smoothly and efficiently.This is a high-volume, merchant-facing role.
You will communicate directly with Merchant Owners by phone, email, and where required, in person to collect and follow up on KYC and onboarding documentation.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organised, proactive, and confident communicating with merchants.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the end-to-end merchant onboarding process from signed agreement to activationCommunicate directly with Merchant Owners via phone, email, and in-person visits where requiredCollect, review, and follow up on KYC and onboarding documentationIdentify missing or incorrect information and work with merchants to resolve issuesCoordinate with Business Development, Compliance,



and Operations to ensure smooth onboardingEnsure onboarding activities meet compliance requirements and internal SLAsMaintain accurate merchant information across CRM and onboarding systemsMonitor onboarding pipelines and proactively follow up on outstanding casesManage multiple merchant cases while maintaining a high level of accuracy and serviceSupport onboarding reporting and identify opportunities to improve the merchant onboarding experienceWhat We're Looking For0–2 years' experience in customer operations, onboarding, sales support, client services, banking, fintech, or a similar roleFresh graduates are welcomeStrong attention to detail and high level of data accuracyConfident and professional when communicating with customers or business ownersComfortable making phone calls and following up with merchantsStrong organisational and time-management skillsProactive, accountable, and resilient in a fast-paced environmentComfortable managing a high volume of cases and working to deadlinesWilling to conduct occasional in-person merchant visits when requiredNice to HaveExposure to KYC / AML / complianceExperience in fintech, payments, banking, SaaS, or customer operationsFamiliarity with CRM or workflow toolsPrevious experience working directly with merchants or business customersWhy Join KPay?
