With our work expanding from Sydney to Central Coast, Newcastle and Brisbane we are now hiring a casual Quoter/ Estimator for our team.About the roleThe Estimator will travel to site to assess tree projects—removals, pruning, land clearing or maintenance.
Preparing exact cost proposals that ensure accurate pricing, profitability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare information for quotations to final confirmed costing, including timelines, work method statements, and risk assessmentsVisit clients at commercial, council, or development sites to evaluate tree size, species, condition, and potential hazards.Identify access issues (e.g., power lines, traffic management needs, equipment reach).
Determine what work is required—removal, pruning, stump grinding, ongoing maintenance—and outline safety requirements and environmental considerations.Estimate labour hours, equipment use (e.g., trucks, chippers), disposal or recycling fees and traffic control costs.Factor in permits, insurance, and compliance with local regulations.Discuss project requirements with clients to explain technical details, answer questions, and negotiate pricing.Obtain prices for specialised equipment or subcontracted services (cranes,



barges and helicopters etc)Monitor job costs versus the estimate to refine future pricing and maintain profitability.Qualifications & experience3 years experience estimating in the Arboriculture industry or landscape construction industryStrong understanding of tree biology and Arboriculture techniquesKnowledge of workplace safety standards and environmental regulationsProficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and project management toolsGood communication and negotiation skillsProven ability to read and work with plansStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsAnalytical ability to ensure quotes and tenders are accurateWhite CardDrivers Licence and own vehicleCert III in Arboriculture (or international equivalent)AQF Cert V in Arboriculture (desirable)BenefitsSpend a large portion of your day outside instead of behind a desk all dayWork closely with a supportive crew where teamwork and safety are prioritiesSupport and guidance from the Director, who will act as your mentorChance to work across different suburbs, regions, or even interstateCompetitive salary pro-ratedFuel card or daily car allowanceOpen to considering one work day being a SaturdayWork as an employee or contractorWe're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive outlook and genuine passion for arboriculture.
