We are currently seeking Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics to join our teams in Newman, Karratha, and Port Hedland.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will diagnose, repair, maintain and test motor vehicle and other internal combustion engines and related mechanical components.
Service and repair a wide range of light vehicles, trailers, buses, cranes, and large trucks you will also be required maintain a safe working environment.Tasks Include:Detecting and diagnosing faults in vehicle parts and enginesDismantling and removing engine assemblies, steering mechanisms transmissions, and other components, and checking integrity of partsRepairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, with the ability to interpret service manuals as requiredPerforming scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine servicing to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with emission regulationsReassembling engines and parts after repairTesting and modifying mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performanceDiagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of diagnosticsInspecting vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve safety standardsTo be successful the following is required:Sound understanding of secure working and housekeeping practicesTrade qualified or equivalentStrong English level requiredPrevious experience in a similar role for at least 5 yearsExcellent communication skillsHigh attention to detail and able to work effectively and collaboratively with the teamAbility to meet strict deadlinesBe reliable, punctual & hardworkingStrong commitment to Health and SafetyCurrent Driver's Licence HC /MC preferredAbility to work in a team environment and positive work ethicAbility to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testNational Police Clearance (valid within 6 months)EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:Subsidised housing and utilities offered to successful applicantsFull-time employmentJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits: Housing allowanceHousing providedExperience: Diesel mechanic: 5 years (Required)Licence/Certification: HC or MC Licence (Required)Work Authorisation: Australia (Required)Work Location: In personHourly rate $40- $45 per hourThese roles are open to permanent Australian residents only and are residentially based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and no FIFO will be considered.
