Working within a highly manual payroll environment, you will play a critical role in maintaining payroll operations during a period of maternity leave cover within the team.
This role requires a strong payroll professional who can confidently manage BAU payroll responsibilities, investigate discrepancies, analyse reporting, and is comfortable processing payroll in a more manual environment.
This position will suit someone who enjoys getting into the detail, has advanced Excel skills, and can confidently work through payroll issues with minimal direction.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end payroll processing across a workforce of circa **** employeesManaging fortnightly payroll cycles for both permanent and casual employeesInterpreting and applying Enterprise Agreement conditions and payroll legislationInvestigating payroll discrepancies and resolving payroll-related issuesMaintaining payroll accuracy, compliance and data integrityReviewing payroll reports and identifying anomaliesPerforming payroll reconciliations and audit checksManaging manual payroll calculations and adjustmentsAbout You5+ years of demonstrated experience in an end-to-end payroll processing roleMust have Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and formula analysisAble to work independently and take ownership of outcomesStrong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirementsExperience working within large and complex payroll environmentsStrong investigative and analytical skillsComfortable working with manual payroll processesHigh attention to detail and ability to identify issues proactivelyStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsWhat's on OfferImmediate start, 7 month maternity leave coverPart-time, 3 days per week.Paying circa $55-$65 per hour + super (depending on experience)Hybrid working model with flexibility around working days and 1 day WFHCBD location close to all public transportExposure to a large and complex payroll environmentAutonomous role where your expertise will be highly valued
