You'll own sample review and fit approvals, safeguard accurate specs and sound construction, and resolve technical issues from proto through to shipment.
Working closely with our Technical Product Developer, Quality Assurance Technician and Pattern Makers, you'll add hands-on technical capacity to a quick-moving team.This is a genuine opportunity for a confident, detail-driven garment technician to make fit and construction decisions that shape the KOOKAÏ range, with direct exposure to Design, Production and our company owned factories.What you'll be doing:Reviewing proto, PP, shipment and e-comm samples and providing clear feedback to factories and suppliersParticipating in fit sessions and approving samples against the finalised specChecking construction, specs and grading against the KOOKAÏ Standards ManualIdentifying construction and quality issues and following up with factories and pattern makers to resolve themChecking and approving care labels for accuracy and correct placementManaging wear, wash and hang testing of new knit, denim and offshore qualitiesSetting and upholding QA standards,
and supporting global compliance across US and EU marketsKeeping BeProduct/PLM and sample approval tracking accurate and up to dateSupporting the wider Product Development team by sharing technical and approval workloadHelping build technical capability and share knowledge across the teamWhat we'd love from you:Proven experience as a Garment Technician or in a similar technical role, with demonstrated fit and QA capabilityAccurate measuring and strong attention to detailSound working knowledge of garment construction, fabric, trim and QAConfidence participating in fit sessions and making fit and construction decisionsKnowledge of 2D pattern systems such as Style CAD (beneficial)Experience with BeProduct, Sync or other PLM softwareStrong communication and interpersonal skills across teams and factoriesAbility to prioritise and manage your own critical path to keep approvals on timeExperience with US and/or EU compliance and market requirements (beneficial)With KOOKAÏ growing here in Australia and internationally, this is a real opportunity to build your technical career with a brand you'll be proud to have on your CV.
