Once you're settled and established in the role, we'd love for you to work closely with our Specialists to identify and implement more efficient processes.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a driven and highly capable Medical Receptionist/Practice Manager to independently run the day-to-day operations of a busy and growing Fertility and Gynaecology practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive healthcare skilled to establish and refine operational systems, policies, and procedures to support continued growth — and to put their own stamp on how the practice runs.Working closely with the Specialist, you will take full ownership of practice operations, patient experience, compliance, and business performance,



managing the practice largely on your own.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently oversee the daily operations of a busy specialist practiceManage front-of-house and medical reception functions, including patient scheduling and patient flowOversee billing, Medicare processing, private health fund administration, and item number claimingDevelop, implement and continually improve practice policies, procedures and workflowsMonitor and improve operational efficiency and productivityMaintain compliance with healthcare legislation, accreditation standards and privacy requirementsLiaise with external providers, hospitals, laboratories and key stakeholdersOnce established and settled into the role, partner with our Specialists to identify opportunities for more efficient processesQualificationsWhat We're Looking ForThe successful candidate will be a confident leader who is equally comfortable managing day-to-day operational demands and strategically building the systems, processes and structure required for an evolving specialist practice.You will be resilient, adaptable and solutions-focused, with a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding patient care and supporting a high-performing team.Applications will only be considered from candidates who meet the following criteria:Medical receptionist experience in a medical or specialist practice settingStrong working knowledge of billing and claiming,



including Medicare item numbersProven ability to work independently and autonomously, with minimal supervisionAdaptable, resilient and solutions-focused, with the right attitude to take real ownership of the roleHighly organised with strong time management and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred (not essential)Previous experience as a Practice Manager, ideally within a specialist medical practiceExperience developing, implementing and maintaining operational policies and proceduresAdvanced proficiency with medical practice management software systemsHighly DesirablePrevious experience within Fertility, IVF, Women's Health or Obstetrics & GynaecologyUnderstanding of fertility treatment pathways and patient care journeysExperience managing growth, change or practice expansion projectsAdditional InformationAnd what's in it for you?
