Chisholm's culture of Belonging & Inclusion strives to promote a self-regulating culture that enhances the experiences of our employees, students and communities.About The RoleAs an EAL / AMEP teacher, Foundation College, your key responsibilities include:Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learnersEnsure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages and related requirementsEstablish and maintain a positive learning environment, including encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learningAdapt learning and assessment materials to cater for different students, learning environments, facilities, and resourcesUndertake a range of administrative, coordination, and learning services activities directly related to the areas taughtAssist in relation to the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programsMaintain a respectful, and safe environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassmentAbout YouYou are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.EssentialQualifications required for the roleCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****) or qualifications that meet the RTO Standards or willingness to obtainOne of the following qualifications:A four-year Bachelor of Education,



with TESOL as a method; orA Bachelor degree plus a Master of Teaching with TESOL as a methodA Bachelor degree plus Graduate Diploma of Education with TESOL as a methodAn initial teacher education qualification plus a postgraduate qualification that includes a 22-day supervised teaching practicum in TESOL, such as a:Graduate Certificate in Education (TESOL)Graduate Certificate in TESOLGraduate Diploma in TESOLMaster of TESOL/Master of Applied Linguistics/Master of Arts (TESOL)AndRegistration with Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or Employee Working With Children CheckA record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliverA record of Skilled Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledgeAbout UsChisholm is one of the largest vocational training providers in the state with a team of over 1,400 dedicated staff supporting 41,000 students who choose to study at Chisholm and training at our modern campuses across Melbourne's southeast and online.
