Newmont is the only gold producer listed in the S&P; 500 Index and is widely recognized for its principled environmental, social and governance practices.Job Location: TanamiWorkplace Type: OnsiteYour impactAs an Auto Electrician at Newmont Tanami Operations, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing mobile and underground equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient production.Working in one of Australia's most remote and challenging mining environments, you will contribute directly to equipment availability, minimise downtime, and support Newmont's commitment to zero harm and operational excellence.What you will doDeliver protected, efficient auto electrical maintenance across underground and surface mobile equipmentPerform diagnostics, repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal fleet performanceWork on heavy mobile equipment including Sandvik DD, DL, DS, DB (421 & 422), Normet Charmec & Spraymec, and similar fleetConduct inspections, fault‐finding, and monitoring of equipment performanceEnsure all work is completed in line with Newmont policies, procedures, and statutory requirementsApply risk management practices, including JHAs and safe work procedures prior to task executionAccurately complete documentation, job cards,



and maintenance records using SAP and related systemsSupport breakdown response and planned maintenance activities in collaboration with maintenance planners and supervisorsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, and productivityMaintain a high standard of housekeeping and workshop cleanlinessProvide guidance and on‐job training to apprentices where requiredCollaborate with maintenance, operations and warehouse teams in a fast‐paced environmentPrerequisites for successAustralian‐recognised Auto Electrical trade qualificationProven experience in underground mining maintenance (minimum 5 years highly regarded)Strong exposure to mobile plant and heavy equipment environmentsExperience with Sandvik underground equipment (essential) and Normet fleet (highly regarded)Automotive Air Conditioning / Refrigeration licence (preferred)Proficiency in SAP or similar maintenance management systemsSound knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word)Current Australian manual driver's licenceForklift licence and additional tickets (dogging, rigging, working at heights) highly regardedAbility to work in physically demanding conditions,



including 12‐hour shiftsStrong problem‐solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing demandsHigh attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and process complianceEffective communication and teamwork skills across diverse stakeholder groupsYour work environmentThis is a full‐time, permanent opportunity at Newmont's Tanami Gold Mine in Western Australia, working within a large‐scale open pit operation on an 8/6 roster.
