About the RoleHall Chadwick Melbourne is a leading mid-tier accounting firm, supporting a diverse range of clients across Australia and internationally.We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Auditor / Supervisor to join our team.
This role is key to delivering high-quality audit and assurance services, managing client relationships, and contributing to the development and performance of the audit team.The role can be structured at either Senior Auditor or Supervisor level, depending on your experience.This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional looking to further develop their technical expertise and leadership capabilities while progressing their career within a supportive and professional environment.Conduct various audit engagements simultaneously, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner, identifying key risk areas and accounting technical mattersPrepare complete and accurate audit work papersDisplay appropriate knowledge and understanding of clients' businesses to develop an appropriate audit approachCommunicate effectively with clients to manage expectations and ensure deadlines are metIdentify areas of improvement in the clients' business processes and deliver recommendations to clients after understanding and assessing internal controlsPrepare and review Financial statements, ensuring they adhere to statutory requirementsBuild and maintain strong, professional and trusting relationships with clientsRemain up to date with upcoming changes to the accounting and audit standardsSupervise and review the work of, coach and develop Audit team members to build competence and improve productivityAssist Managers and Directors/ Partners with engagement planning, budgeting,
resourcing and workflow across the teamA minimum of four years' experience in external public practice audit, with five or more years required for appointment at Supervisor levelSolid understanding of relevant legislation, Australian Accounting Standards, and Australian Auditing StandardsHigh level of computer literacy, with an excellent understanding of audit and accounting softwareStrong organisation and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitmentsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients in a explicit and concise manner, and the ability to discuss issues in a manner which considers the client's circumstancesBroad commercial expertise and judgementStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAccuracy and attention to detailThe ability to work effectively as part of a team, and to coach, mentor and review the work of team membersFlexibility and a positive approach to travel and working across industries, clients and locationsQualifications / CertificationsDegree qualified in accounting, business or commerceCA or CPA qualification or working towardsAt Hall Chadwick Melbourne, we are committed to supporting our people to thrive both professionally and personally.
