The RoleWe are looking for a Business Development Manager to own pipeline development across NXTGEN's core sectors — infrastructure, rail, construction, and mining.
This is a strategic and execution-focused commercial role that spans first contact through to commercial close, across deals with long cycles, technical decision-makers, and complex procurement structures.What You Will DoDevelop and execute a sector-specific pipeline strategy across infrastructure, rail, construction, and miningBuild and maintain relationships with asset owners, tier-1 contractors, government agencies, and infrastructure operatorsLead commercial conversations from initial qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and closeTranslate technical product capability into procurement-ready commercial proposals and tender responsesWork closely with the engineering and operations teams to scope, price, and deliver pilot engagementsRepresent NXTGEN at industry events, conferences,



and sector forumsMaintain CRM hygiene and pipeline reporting for leadership visibilityWhat We Are Looking For5+ years of business development or enterprise sales experience in infrastructure, construction, rail, mining, or industrial technologyDemonstrated ability to navigate long, complex sales cycles with technical and commercial counterpartsStrong understanding of Australian government and private sector procurement processesExperience working with tier-1 contractors, asset owners, or infrastructure operators at a senior stakeholder levelCommercially sharp — able to build proposals, model commercial structures, and negotiate termsComfortable with ambiguity and early-stage company dynamicsWhere You'll WorkOur head office is in Melbourne and we have a second office in Sydney.
We are open to adaptable and remote working arrangements anywhere in Australia for the right person, so where you are based should not stop you from applying.This role does involve periodic travel to sites where our systems are deployed, across infrastructure, rail and construction projects around the country.
