while also contributing to the ongoing development of legal processes and frameworks.What You'll DoProvide strategic and commercially focused legal advice across the businessDraft, negotiate and review contracts, subcontracts and commercial agreementsLead contract negotiations and support project teams throughout the project lifecycleAdvise on disputes, claims, litigation and insurance matters, with a focus on early resolutionReview and advise on variations, extensions of time and contractual claimsWork closely with operational and project teams to identify and manage legal riskManage external legal providers and associated legal expenditureDevelop and deliver legal training and commercial awareness programsSupport continuous improvement, legal compliance and risk management initiativesAssist with Board reporting and strategic legal projectsMentor and support junior members of the legal teamWhat You'll BringLaw degree and admission to practice in Australia5+ years' PAE across private practice and/or in-house environmentsStrong experience in commercial contracts, contract negotiation and dispute managementAbility to provide practical, commercially focused legal adviceExperience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, industrial, resources or a related sectorExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesA pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to legal riskExperience mentoring or supporting junior legal professionals
