CPB Contractors has more than 50 major infrastructure projects in delivery, across all key sectors of the construction industry, including roads and bridges, rail, tunnelling, defence, airports, buildings and resources, providing you with career opportunities for years to come.The ProjectWe are currently seeking an experienced Survey Manager for a unique water infrastructure pipeline project, initially based at our Brisbane headquarters before mobilising to Toowoomba in early **** on a 5:2 DIDO roster.The Toowoomba to Warwick Pipeline Construction project is delivered by the CPB Contractors and Nacap Joint Venture (CNJV) for Seqwater.The RoleThe role of Survey Manager will be a senior member of the project management team, leading the survey and data management function and accountable for the survey budget.You will set out the works to enable productive, timely delivery and direct the survey requirements of the construction, supervision, quality and commercial teams.As the Survey Manager you will ensure survey and quality records are produced in the form and to the timeframes set by the scope of works and technical requirements.Additionally, you will implement the project's survey, spatial and as-built data requirements, and administer the Project GNSS survey network.What You'll DoLead the delivery of accurate, timely and responsive surveying services through:Checking design geometry and dimensions,



and identifying potential design faults earlyAdvising management of any issues arising from the surveyEnsuring sites are accurately surveyed and clear set outs provided, with sufficient survey marks, in accordance with contract drawingsProviding site explanations and set-out sketches to relevant Project Team membersMaintaining productive relationships and clear communication with the Project Team and subcontractorsDelivering surveying services that meet the needs of the Project Team and clientEnsuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and company and group policies and proceduresManage the installation, calibration, and maintenance of GPS/GNSS machine guidanceWhat You'll Need to SucceedBachelor's degree in Spatial Science or related fieldMembership or eligibility for membership of a recognised surveying professional bodyMinimum 10 years' experience as a qualified Surveyor, with 5+ years' people management experience, including the management of contractors and sub-contractorsExperience in survey delivery on linear pipeline or utility corridor projectsExperience with the establishment and operation of GNSS base station and repeater networksDemonstrated experience and expertise in 12d Model and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D for survey processing, as-built drafting and model rectificationWorking knowledge of ArcGIS or QGIS, and of validating spatial dataWe particularly welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous Peoples,
