This role will be suitable for someone who has experience in cropping (ideally cotton) and is experienced in managing small teams of staff.Along with an operational leadership opportunity, this role offers the chance to build a rewarding family life in regional Central Queensland.
Family accommodation is available, and farm hand opportunities may also be available for a partner, making this an attractive option for a couple or family wanting to live and work in an agricultural community.Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Farm Manager, you will be responsible to:Provide farm management cover in the absence of the Farm ManagerCrop establishment including bed preparation, fertilising, sowing and cultivationIrrigation coordination, implementation and maintenanceCrop management including herbicide and pesticide applicationOperation of broadacre farming plant and equipment including airseeder, precision plant and self-propelled spray unitGeneral farm duties including repair and maintenanceOversee the implementation and embedding of the digital safety platform and safety processes on farmContribute to a positive and productive working environmentPromote a strong safety culture by demonstrating safe work practices and ensuring compliance with policies and proceduresIdentify training needs and support the development of team membersContribute to the continuous improvement of farming systems, operational processes, and environmental and safety outcomesEnsure accurate records are maintained for development and operational inputs, maintenance activities, chemical applications, fertiliser programs, irrigation,



safety requirements, payroll and cost allocation timesheetsRequirementsValid C Class Driver's LicenceYou will have extensive broadacre cropping experience.
