In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your cultural knowledge and professional expertise to make a meaningful difference to Aboriginal children and families through responsive and inclusive child protection practice within the DCP Call Centre.This is a single vacancy offered under a dual classification.
The successful applicant will be appointed at the appropriate classification level based on their qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role.A degree level qualification inSocial Workwhich gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
As a Senior Aboriginal Family Practitioner, you will:Lead culturally responsive support and intervention for Aboriginal families with complex needsWork with families to identify concerns and develop pathways to positive outcomesContribute to service evaluation,
