As a Graduate Engineer, you'll work on a diverse range of projects across the water cycle, including water supply, drought management, drinking water treatment, wastewater systems, recycled water and irrigation.Supporting technical analysis using Excel, GIS, water and wastewater hydraulic modelling software across a variety of projects.What we offer youVariety of projects: we typically work on smaller projects with multiple on the go at once and every project has aspects that are new and exciting.Peer Mentorship:with a dedicated buddy system you'll gain guidance and support from emerging young professionals within your industry.Continuous Learning:collaborate, problem solve and thrive in a supportive workplace.
Our smaller project team sizes mean you'll work directly with subject matter experts for high-value learning.Hands-on Experience:conduct hydraulic modelling, water balance modelling and water treatment design, turning information into insights that matter.Collaboration: as your career develops, work closely with experts across the water transfers, environmental management, civil, geotechnical, water resources,



flooding and stormwater teams.Key responsibilitiesTeamwork:you'll work alongside a variety of specialists, learning how different disciplines come together to deliver successful projects.
Build relationships with clients and develop professional networks within the industry.Problem Solving:tackle real challenges, think creatively and help shape practical solutions that improve project performance outcomes.
Apply curiosity and critical thinking across a variety of analytical and modelling activities.Quality and Innovation Focus:learn how we meet industry standards and regulations while delivering work we're proud of and challenging norms by exploring cutting edge solutions.What do we need from youGraduating prior to commencing full-time work in February ****Tertiary degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Chemical EngineeringAvailable to start February ****Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in Australia.
This position is not open to applicants outside of AustraliaAbout youInterest and enthusiasm to work within the water sector, planning and designing water and wastewater services for the futureDetail orientated and analyticalExcellent communication skills, written and verbalStrong willingness to learn and grow professionallySolid technical foundationExposure to GIS software, as well as hydraulic or hydrologic modelling is highly regardedPrevious vacation or internship experience within the local government or a consulting environment will be highly regarded, especially if in the water sectorWhat's in it for you?
