SAP Functional SME CSCI Consulting City of Greater Bendigo, VIC, AUJob DescriptionCSCI Consulting is seeking an SAP Funds Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a multiyear Federal ERP modernization program.
This effort consolidates four SAP ECC systems into a single composable ERP platform and migrates existing capabilities into a unified SAP S/4HANA transactional core using industrystandard tools such as SNP CrystalBridge.
The consultant will provide deep SAP Public Sector Finance expertise, with a focus on Funds Management (FM), and ensure seamless integration with related financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Accounting.
The role includes designing FM structures, enabling budget control across fund, funds center, and commitment item hierarchies, and supporting endtoend migration, testing, and solution design activities.ResponsibilitiesGather and document functional requirements and design SAP FM solutions to meet business needsLead and facilitate interactions with technical teams to ensure technical solutions align with functional requirementsDevelop test strategies and manage large, complex test cycles across multiple workstreamsConduct business process design sessions and perform detailed system analysisCoordinate across architects, developers, BASIS, middleware, portal teams, and business analysts to support integrated solution deliveryMaintain, enhance, and develop SAP modules, including interfaces with external applicationsDecompose requirements and lead complex, interactive solutioning workshops with client stakeholdersProvide shortterm and longterm strategic recommendations aligned with client goals and develop tactical roadmapsApply indepth knowledge of industry best practices to guide solution designOperate within Agile delivery frameworks; obtain SAFe certification within 60 days of onboarding if not already certified10+ years of SAP ECC Finance experienceCreativity and adaptability in problem-solvingAbility to work with clients to understand their needsStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional presencePreferred SkillsExperience with SAP Public Sector Finance / Funds ManagementExperience with S/4HANAExperience with ECCtoS/4HANA migration projects using tools such as SNP CrystalBridge or SAP DMLTExperience supporting Federal ERP or financial modernization initiativesAbility to work in a team environment, as well as independentlyStrong customer and vendor relationship skillsDemonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policiesMotivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate valuePast experience working with a Federal agencyDepartment of War experience is a plus!
