Wolf & Williams have partnered with a well-regarded international infrastructure business with an impressive pipeline of major Australian projects. Reporting into a highly commercial legal leader, this broad role will involve advising on project development, commercial contracts, governance and strategic business initiatives across a growing portfolio of infrastructure assets.

They are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to step into this growth role to support their growing, and well-regarded legal team working on complex, large-scale projects across Australia

About the Role
n
You will provide legal support across a broad range of major infrastructure, energy and development projects, including:
n
n
Advising on construction, procurement and project-related agreements;
n
Supporting project development, bids and strategic growth initiatives;
n
Negotiating commercial arrangements with contractors, consultants and key stakeholders;
n
Providing advice on governance, risk and day-to-day commercial matters;
n
Partnering with senior leaders across legal, commercial and development teams.
n

This is a hands-on role offering significant autonomy,



exposure to complex projects and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a highly regarded infrastructure business.

About You
n
n
7+ years' PQE with experience across infrastructure, construction, projects and/or energy;
n
Background from a reputable law firm, in-house legal team or a combination of both;
n
Strong commercial contracting and negotiation skills, with experience supporting complex projects;
n
Pragmatic, commercially focused and comfortable working closely with senior decision-makers;
n
Capable of managing multiple workstreams in a dynamic and quick-moving environment;
n
Looking for a broad role offering genuine responsibility and exposure to major project and business initiatives.

This will suit a strong construction/ projects lawyer who enjoys being close to the commercial drivers of large-scale infrastructure development.
