About The Role
n
To support our growth focused approach, we are currently seeking an experienced Yard Supervisorfor the afternoon shift to join our team in Edinburgh North, SAbranch.
n
Full Time (Monday - Friday, 1pm - 9pm). Please note, at times this may require rotating to AM shifts when needed.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Accountable for managing the daily operations of the Branch logistics and yard operations.
n
Effective and efficient management of the customer service (delivery) operation (including Bulk LPG).
n
Forward planning for growth and continuous improvement for deliveries.
n
Handheld management and implementation.
n
Ensure co-ordination of training is provided for current and future drivers and yard staff to the required standards.
n
Ensure all staff, visitors and contractors operate within Supagas safety rules including Permit To Work (PTW)



requirements.
n
Analyse skills and knowledge required for each role to develop job descriptions and task lists.
n
Conduct regular tool box meetings.
n
Attend and be prepared for management meetings as required.
n
Ensure that the Safety of staff, customers and the Public is maintained at all times.
n
Plan, create and manage the allocated delivery schedule, assign resources to the schedule, monitor and track progress of deliveries according to schedule created.

Skills & Experience
n
n
Must have a valid forklift license.
n
MR license is preferred but not essential.
n
Previous gas industry experience advantageous but not essential.
n
Intermediate level of computer skills is essential.
n
Proven leadership skills.
n
Exceptional communication skills.
n
Outstanding customer service
n
The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment medical examination.
n
