The Opportunity
n
Weareseekinga proactive, highly organised Laboratory Supervisor to manage daily operations in our high-volume laboratory. You'lllead a skilled team, optimise workflows, and
ensureaccurate,timelyresults.
In this role,you'lldrive operational excellence, support staff, and keep the lab runningsmoothly.

Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy,
andtimelyturnaround
of work.
n
Provide strong leadership, guidance, and performance management to a team of laboratory technicians, Scientists,and support staff.
n
Plan, prioritise,
andallocateworkloads




tomaintainproductivity
in a high-volume environment.
n
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and laboratory protocols.
n
Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting when necessary.
n
Maintain inventory, manage ordering of supplies, and control operational budgets whererequired.
n
Supportonboardingand
training of new team members while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
n
Partner with senior management and stakeholders to improve processes and achieve goals.
n
n
Qualifications & Experience
n
n
Degree or diploma in Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
n
Supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare or laboratory setting.
n
Must have experience in Histology.
n
Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
n
Thrives in a fast-paced workplace and manages competing priorities effectively.
n
Working knowledge of laboratory safety standards and quality management systems.
n
Proven ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and drive continuous improvement
n
Knowledge of NATA quality systems, Laboratory Information
Systems,and/orPowerPathisadvantageous.
n
Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend support ifrequired. Flexibility on shift times would berequiredbased on business demand.
