About Us:
Minchinbury Community Hospital is a renowned facility dedicated to providing exceptional rehabilitative care to patients recovering from surgeries and various medical conditions. Our team of healthcare professionals is committed to delivering personalised and evidence-based care to help patients regain their strength, mobility, and independence. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team and support our mission.
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services to patients within the rehabilitation hospital. This role involves assessing patient's functional capacity and mobility, developing and implementing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical functional capacity, mobility and functional limitations.
· Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
· Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to work towards goals.
· Educate patients and their families on exercise programs, and injury prevention.
· Collaborate with Medical Physicians, Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, Exercise Physiologists, Speech Therapists, Nurses,



and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
· Maintain accurate, detailed and up-to-date patient records.
· Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education activities.
· Participate in discharge planning as part of the patient's rehabilitation plan
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
· Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred.
· Strong knowledge of rehabilitative assessments, treatment plans and evidence-based practices.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying caseloads and schedules.
