Local Area Coordinator -Hume Merri-bek and North East Melbourne Areas
We're looking for a
Local Area Coordinator
to join our
NDIS Services
team.
You'll support people with disability to connect with their community, access services, and make the most of opportunities available through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the broader community.
This isn't just a job;

Location:
We're recruiting for Local Area Coordinator opportunities across the
Hume Merri-bek
and
North East Melbourne
areas.

You can select one or multiple locations, and we'll take your preferences into consideration when reviewing your application.
Available office locations:
Greensborough Office - supporting the Banyule and Nillumbik local government areas.
Preston Office- supporting the Darebin and Yarra local government areas.
South Morang Office- supporting the Whittlesea local government area.
Salary:
$93,****** - $100,****** per year + 12% superannuation.
Type of Employment:
Permanent, full time (38 hours per week).
Working Arrangement:
To help set you up for success, your probation period will be fully office-based, giving you hands-on support and learning opportunities.
Following probation, a hybrid work arrangement may be available, with a minimum of 60% of working time spent in the office.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
As a
Local Area Coordinator
, you'll work alongside people with disability, not just NDIS participants.
Through the NDIS Partner in the Community program, you'll support people to access information, services and opportunities in their local community.
As a Local Area Coordinator, you will:
Help people with disability connect with supports, activities in their community and other government services to meet their needs.
Share information about the NDIS and help people access the NDI if needed.
Work with NDIS participants to understand and use their NDIS plan.
Work in local communities to help them become more accessible and inclusive for all people with disability.
ABOUT YOU
We welcome applications from people with experience in one or both of the following areas:
Professional Pathway
Relevant qualifications or experience in Disability, Allied Health, Human Services, Social Sciences, Education, Community Services or a related field.
Lived Experience Pathway
Lived experience with disability, or an understanding of the impact of disability on individuals, families, carers and communities.
In addition, we're looking for people who have:
Strong communication, listening and relationship-building skills.
Experience working alongside communities to achieve shared goals.
Confidence using a range of computer programs and technology, with strong attention to detail when entering and managing information.
Whether your strengths come from formal qualifications, lived experience, or a combination of both, we'd love to hear from you.
