Little Zak's Academy is a privately owned, family-run early childhood organisation providing high-quality education and care in a safe and nurturing workplace.
We are seeking a
Full-Time Cook/Chef
to join our Burwood Heights centre and prepare fresh, nutritious meals for children aged 0-5 years.
About the Role
Full-time position, Monday-Friday (approx. 7:00am-3:00pm)
Prepare morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea using a rotating menu
Cater for allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural needs
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and storage standards
Manage food ordering within budget and receive deliveries
Work with the Centre Director on menu planning
Engage positively with children and staff throughout the day
About You
Experience in cooking, hospitality, or commercial kitchen environments (childcare experience desirable)
Knowledge of food safety and allergy management
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, First Aid, and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
