About Simpson Health Centre
n
Simpson Barracks is located at Yallambie (approx. 40 mins North-East of Melbourne CBD). Predominately a Forces Command training base supporting Defence Force School of Signals (tri-service technicians & operators, electronic warfare systems), Defence Force School of Music (tri-service musicians) and Army Education Centre. The Army base services approximately **** Defence members and operates a 9 bed low dependency ward 24/7. The health centre also provides primary medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental and mental health services.



Standard operating hours are generally 07:*******:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

This role is primarily Monday to Friday within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
n
What You'll Do
n
n
Delivering safe and accurate dispensing services in line with clinical standards
n
Managing medication inventory and supporting effective pharmacy operations
n
Promoting safe and effective use of medications for patients and clinicians
n
Providing technical advice and support to health practitioners
n
Ensuring compliance with legislation, Defence policies, and quality standards
n

What You Bring
n
n
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a pharmacist
n
Minimum 2 years' post-internship experience in hospital, community, or defence pharmacy
n
Strong understanding of medication safety, dispensing, and inventory management
n
Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
n
Commitment to ongoing CPD and professional standards
n
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
n
Membership of PSA or SHPA (desirable)
n
Australian Citizenship to obtain required security clearance
n
