About the Role
n
This is a full-time Bookkeeper role where you'll play a hands-on part in supporting a diverse portfolio of small business clients. You'll work closely with accountants, advisors, and partners, and be trusted to take ownership of your work and your client relationships.
n
This is not a heads-down, data-only role. You'll be actively involved in client communication, onboarding, and meetings,



and will be expected to confidently represent Momenta Books in client interactions.
n
Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
n
Preparing and lodging BAS and IAS, including Payroll Tax and iCare calculations and reporting
n
Bank reconciliations and account maintenance
n
Xero setup, support, and troubleshooting
n
Payroll and superannuation processing
n
Assisting with reporting and Virtual CFO services
n
Assisting with new client setup and onboarding
n
Attending client meetings and jumping in to support meetings as required
n
Holding meetings with clients to discuss bookkeeping matters, systems, and workflows
n
Liaising with clients on software and process improvements
n
Supporting accountants with year-end preparation
n
Contributing to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and client experience
n
About You
n
You're someone who:
n
Has a minimum of 5 years' experience as a bookkeeper
n
Has strong working knowledge of Xero and MYOB (essential)
n
Has strong knowledge of all Microsoft Applications
n
Has hands-on experience with Employment Hero (essential)
n
Has experience preparing Payroll Tax and iCare
n
Has excellent customer service skills and enjoys client-facing work
n
Speaks clear, confident English and communicates professionally with clients




n
Has a strong understanding of BAS, GST and payroll
n
Is organised, detail-focused, and proactive
n
Is confident working independently and as part of a team
n
Takes ownership of work and prides themselves on accuracy and quality
n
Must hold a minimum Certificate III or IV qualification in accounting or bookkeeping
n
Experience with Karbon is highly regarded but not essential.
n
Bonus points if you enjoy process improvement, client education, or finding smarter ways to support clients.
