The opportunity
We are in the market for two experienced Service Desk Officers.The roles are for 6 months but with possible extensions available.
Our ICT team at the City manage devices and workstations,network infrastructure, integrations and provide support fora myriad of staff queries and requests for IT support.
We need twoexperienced and approachable IT Service Desk officers to supportour current business as usual and project work.
Experience inticket triage and update is critical, as is your friendly andapproachable manner.
In this role you are not just administratingincidents, you are juggling competing priorities, differenttechnologies and supporting differing business units with verydifferent support needs.
You will join an established team, who arecurrently also delivering project work.
To be successful in this role, you willneed:
2 years' experience in a similar role
A current unrestricted C class National driver'slicence
A valuable understanding of how Service Desk fits with overallIT service management support across an organisation
Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to ask theright questions
A breadth of knowledge and technical skill across differentIT and communication devices and an interest in newtechnologies
A can-do customer focused attitude and a genuine wish tosupport our staff with their IT requirements
Ability to learn quickly about local government servicesand the specific tools we use
A background in triaging, completing and documentingservice tickets
Knowledge of the basics of cybersecurity
