We are looking for an experienced and passionate Full Time Cook to join our team!
This is paid under the FFIA award Level 3.
This is a Monday to Friday role but requires early starts (6.30am)
What being a Cook is all about:
Food preparation and presentation of ingredients & menu items
Maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with Food by WHSmith hygiene Standards.
Reporting and communicating necessary information and feedback to the Cafe Manager regarding any and all aspects of store operations.
Maintaining Food Safety, WHS & HACCP standards
Assisting with kitchen operations, ordering, receiving and compliance requirements
Supporting a positive and productive team setting
What our Stores would love to see:
1-2 years' experience in food preparation and presentation within a hospitality environment
Experience with bain-marie and short-order cooking highly desirable
Food Safety Supervisor Certification (preferred)
Strong HACCP and food safety knowledge
Experience managing stock control and food costs
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for food and customer service
Knowledge in fast paced retail operations with a focus on quality service.
Warm, friendly, and outgoing personality.
Exceptional time management and multitasking skills.
