Lead the Australian finance function, own the reporting cycle while driving profitability initiatives, process improvements and partnering across the business to support growth.
Global shipping business operating across 100+ countries, providing 3PL, air and sea freight services with a strong APAC presence.
South Sydney location, onsite parking and 2 days work from home.

The Role As Financial Controller, you will lead an established finance team and work collaboratively with the Managing Director and senior stakeholders across the business.
Your remit will combine strong financial governance and control with a clear focus on improving processes, strengthening reporting and delivering greater commercial insights.
You will play a key role in shaping the evolution of the finance function, creating more efficient and scalable processes, improving financial discipline and ensuring the business has the systems, controls and information required to support its continued growth.
Key responsibilities include: Lead the month-end and year-end financial close, ensuring accurate, timely and well-supported financial reporting.
Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and reporting to improve efficiency, accuracy and visibility.




Strengthen financial governance, internal controls and risk management frameworks as the business continues to grow.
Enhance budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes to provide greater insight to business leaders.
Partner collaboratively with operational and commercial stakeholders to improve financial performance and decision-making.
Provide commercial analysis and financial support across supplier negotiations, profitability initiatives and growth opportunities.
Lead cash flow forecasting, working capital and balance sheet management.
Work with stakeholders to embed greater financial accountability and discipline across the organisation.
Lead, coach and develop the finance team, encouraging collaboration, continuous improvement and high standards of delivery.
Your Background To be considered for this Financial Controller opportunity you will meet the following criteria: Professionally qualified – CPA, CA, CIMA, ACCA or similar Proven experience building high performing teams Experience working in multinational environment with multiple reporting lines Ideally have experience in shipping, logistics or an aligned industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to liaise confidently with stakeholders across the business Experience dealing with highly regulated reporting environments If you are keen to apply for this Financial Controller role, please contact Cameron at Richard Lloyd on ************ , quoting reference ***** or click on 'apply now' below.
