Due to growth, we're seeking a qualified Fitter to join their team.
Within this role you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance, repair, assembly, and testing of equipment, components, and pneumatic systems within the workshop.
The role involves mechanical and pneumatic diagnosis, fault-finding, rebuilds, assembly, strip-and-inspect work, equipment preparation, and quality assurance.
A strong focus on safety, precision, and workmanship is essential.
The role also supports inventory and parts control related to repair jobs, ensuring correct components are used, documented, and returned.
The role: Perform mechanical and pneumatic repair, maintenance, assembly, and testing of equipment.
Diagnose faults, perform strip-and-inspect tasks, rebuild components, and verify functionality.
Ensure all work meets engineering drawings, technical requirements, and internal standards.
Complete QA documentation, repair notes, parts usage, and service reports.
Maintain workshop tools, ensuring calibration, safe condition, and correct use.
Assist with planning and scheduling of repair jobs and equipment preparation.
Identify required parts and coordinate with the Supervisor for timely allocation.
Assist with commissioning and pre-dispatch checks.
Contribute to accurate job updates, time entries, and repair records in internal systems.
Provide mechanical/pneumatic fitting services in a safe and professional manner.




Conduct pre-start checks, equipment inspections, hazard reporting, and corrective actions.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workshop area.
Follow correct lock-out / tag-out procedures.
What we're looking for: Trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter, Fitter Turner, Fitter / Machinist, or equivalent.
Experience in mechanical repairs, rebuilds, and equipment servicing.
Strong pneumatic fitting experience (fault-finding, assembly, testing).
Demonstrated safety mindset and understanding of WHS responsibilities.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Competence with workshop tools, pneumatic systems, torquing, and lifting equipment.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a small, high-performing team.
Computer literacy sufficient for job documentation and reporting.
