Truck and Trailer Body Builder Apprenticeship Job ID **** Type Full time Location Darra, QLD Positions 3 Apply Truck and Trailer Body Builder Apprenticeship The Opportunity Partnered with our host Hercules , we are looking for a Truck and Trailer Body Builder Apprentice wanting a career start in a busy workshop, where you will complete an AUM***** Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations - Bus, Truck and Trailer qualification.
This position is full-time and based in Darra .
Job Details Hercules is an Australian family-owned company that has been in operation since ****.
They specialise in the design and manufacture of tipper bodies and trailers that can be manufactured in aluminium, steel or hardox.
You will be mentored by industry professionals while completing a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework and will be working in their customised Darra workshop.
Your duties will include the manufacture, fabrication and assembly of components, welding, working with a variety of hand and power tools and relevant machinery, assembly of parts, and learning to interpret drawings.
Work hours are 6am to 3.30pm.
You will accrue RDO hours with an RDO taken on the Friday (fortnightly).
There is the opportunity to do overtime on Saturdays.

You will need to have self-motivation, the capacity to show initiative and not be afraid to ask questions when required.
Coupled with a strong desire to build a career, you will be driven to learn new skills and relish taking on new challenges, and approach problem-solving with a creative and innovative mind.
In addition to these qualities, you will ideally: Have a can-do attitude Have reliable transport to and from work and hold a current driver's licence with P Plate minimum Have previous relevant work experience, whether through school or after completing school, with a relevant qualification such as a Certificate II in Automotive or Certificate II in Engineering Maintain a high-level focus on safety Be well presented Have excellent listening skills and ability to follow instructions Have the ability to pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check Apply
