The Opportunity

Sante Recruitment is seeking an experienced Medical Specialist to take on a senior clinical leadership position as Clinical Director – Geriatric, Rehabilitation & Palliative Care Medicine within one of Victoria's leading regional health services.
n
This is an exceptional opportunity to combine clinical leadership, service development and medical education while maintaining up to 50% clinical practice within your area of specialty.
n
You will provide strategic and clinical leadership across Geriatric Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine and Palliative Care, working closely with the Chief Medical Officer, executive leadership, Medical Workforce and other Clinical Directors.
n
This is a role with genuine influence over the future direction of services, workforce development, clinical governance and specialist training.

The Role
n
As Clinical Director, you will be responsible for providing leadership across a broad and evolving clinical portfolio.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Providing clinical and strategic leadership across Geriatric, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care services
n
Supporting workforce planning, recruitment and retention
n
Leading clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
n
Contributing to service planning and development
n
Working collaboratively with senior medical, nursing and allied health leaders
n
Supporting the development of high-performing multidisciplinary teams
n
Maintaining a significant clinical component within your specialty
n
Contributing to medical education and professional development
n
Supporting registrar training and supervision
n
Building strong relationships with university and specialist college partners
n

You Will Have The Opportunity To

Support the education of Monash University medical students
n
Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
n
Take responsibility as Director of Training for the Victorian Geriatric Medicine Training Program
n
Supervise and mentor registrars and junior medical staff
n
Contribute to continuing professional development and clinical education
n

About You To Be Considered, You Will Have
n
n
Fellowship of an appropriate Australian specialist medical college, or equivalent
n
Unconditional specialist registration with AHPRA
n
Significant senior clinical experience
n
Previous medical leadership or service management experience
n
Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement
n
Experience with workforce planning and service developmentStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
n
A commitment to education, training and professional development
n
n
International Medical Graduates with comparable specialist qualifications may be considered subject to specialist registration requirements.
