The Opportunity
n
An opportunity is available for an Associate or Senior Associate Construction Lawyer to join a highly regarded specialist construction practice in Sydney.
n
Rather than being limited to one narrow area, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad construction practice spanning major projects, front-end contracting, advisory work and complex disputes.
n
Depending on your experience, your matters may include:
n
n
Drafting and negotiating construction and project contracts
n
Major construction and infrastructure projects
n
Procurement and project advisory
n
Security of Payment claims and adjudications
n
Variations, delay, defects and extension of time claims
n
Complex construction and commercial disputes
n
Litigation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution
n
Advising developers, contractors, subcontractors and other industry participants
n
n
The role offers genuine scope to take carriage of matters, work directly with clients and develop your own profile, while having experienced construction specialists around you when needed.

What We're Looking For
n
We are interested in speaking with Associate to Senior Associate level lawyers, ideally with:
n
n
2+ years' PQE in construction, projects or infrastructure
n
Front-end, back-end or mixed construction experience
n
Strong drafting and technical legal skills
n
Commercial and practical judgement
n
Confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders
n
A desire to broaden their construction experience and accelerate their career
n
n
Lawyers from top-tier, national, mid-tier and specialist construction practices are encouraged to apply.
n
You don't necessarily need equal front-end and back-end experience. If your background is stronger on one side and you want to broaden your practice, I would still like to hear from you.
