Steelcorp is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our growing Construction team and take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of commercial construction projects across NSW and potentially interstate.
n
This isn't a role where you'll spend your week behind a desk.
n
You'll be on site, coordinating trades, solving problems, driving the program and making sure our projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the standard our clients expect.
n
This role involves regular travel and periods away from home during the working week. If you enjoy variety, working across different projects and locations, and taking genuine ownership of a construction site, we'd like to hear from you.

Site Supervisor – Commercial Construction
n
The Role
n
Reporting to our Head of Construction or Project Manager, you'll be the person on the ground responsible for keeping the project moving.
n
You'll take ownership of:
n
n
Managing day-to-day construction activities on site
n
Coordinating subcontractors, trades and suppliers
n
Driving the construction program and sequencing of works
n
Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and engineering requirements
n
Managing site safety, inductions, toolbox talks and compliance
n
Monitoring workmanship and maintaining high quality standards
n
Identifying and resolving site issues before they become delays
n
Coordinating materials, deliveries and site logistics
n




Maintaining accurate site diaries and reporting progress, risks and issues
n
Managing defects and supporting project completion and handover
n
Creating a professional site environment for our clients, subcontractors and project partners
n
n
You'll work closely with our Project Managers but will be trusted to take ownership of what happens on site and get the job done.
n
What We're Looking For
n
We're looking for a practical construction professional who leads from the front.
n
Ideally, you'll bring:
n
n
3-5 years' experience in construction site supervision
n
Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site operations
n
Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and trades
n
Strong understanding of construction safety and compliance
n
Ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings and documentation
n
Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
n
A practical, solutions-focused approach
n
A high level of personal accountability for safety, quality and project outcomes
n
Current White Card and relevant site safety certifications
n
Australian citizenship or permanent residency
n
n
Experience in commercial, industrial, structural steel or Design & Construct projects will be highly regarded.
n




A trade background or construction qualification is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
n
The Important Part – Travel
n
Our projects aren't all in one location.
n
You'll be required to travel to project sites and be prepared to stay away from home during the working week when projects require it.
n
We want to be upfront about this.
n
This role will suit someone who enjoys getting out on site, working across different locations and projects, and wants the variety that comes with supervising construction across a broader geographic area.
