Indigeco is recruiting a Client Service Officer, Customer Foundation, for our NSW Government client based in Parramatta. This is a short-term contract opportunity with an ASAP start and an end date to be confirmed, with potential for extension based on business needs.
This role is focused on supporting vulnerable customers through financial management services. It is not a general housing, social work or call centre role. You will manage a customer caseload, support financial decision-making, prepare budgets, respond to customer and stakeholder enquiries, and help ensure customers' financial matters are managed with empathy, accuracy and professionalism.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a customer caseload and deliver financial management services in line with policies, procedures and delegations
Communicate with customers to understand their financial needs, circumstances, goals and day-to-day requirements
Prepare, review and maintain budgets, income and expenditure arrangements, accommodation payments and other financial administration
Respond to customer and stakeholder enquiries via phone, email and occasional face-to-face contact with empathy, professionalism and respect
Make or support substitute financial decisions on behalf of customers, applying sound judgement and a rational financial lens
Manage competing priorities, triage urgent matters and deliver timely outcomes for customers
Escalate complex matters, risks, privacy concerns or substantial complaints to senior staff or management when appropriate

YOUR REQUIREMENTS
Strong customer service experience, ideally within complex, sensitive or high-volume environments
Experience managing customer cases, enquiries, client accounts, ongoing customer relationships or administrative caseloads
Robust empathy and confidence working with vulnerable customers while maintaining professional boundaries
Sound financial literacy, including confidence working with budgets, income, expenses and basic financial decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport over the phone, by email and face to face
Strong administration, organisation, attention to detail and ability to work within policies and procedures
Experience in financial services, government, community services, disability, guardianship, trustee services, aged care or vulnerable customer support will be highly regarded
YOUR PERKS
Payrate of $***** per hour + super
7 hours per day, 35 hours per week
4-week contract with potential extension
ASAP start in Paramatta
