Job Description
n
We are looking to recruit several veterinary nurses for our Greencross AREN Specialist and Emergency hospitals across Australia.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
holding animals to allow examination and treatment by Veterinarians.
n
cleaning and sterilising examination tables and equipment
n
preparing instruments and handing them to the Veterinarian
n
assisting Veterinarians in administering anaesthetics and oxygen during operations
n
placing animals in cages for recovery from operations and monitoring their condition
n
giving medications to animals
n




maintaining stock control and records
n
providing animal care advice and preparing, delivering, and reviewing animal care education programs
n
may perform diagnostic laboratory tests.
n
may act as a receptionist, accept payments and undertake clerical work.
n

Experienced veterinary nurses can expect to earn a salary from $76,515 pa
n
International veterinary nurses with a minimum of 2 years full time post-qualification experience may be eligible for sponsorship through Greencross Vets
n
Minimum four weeks of annual leave and paid maternity leave.
