About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Plant & Equipment Officer to join Zinfra's delivery team supporting the major CopperString to Cape (C2C) transmission project withPowerlink. Based in the Gladstone region, this role is critical to keeping frontline construction activities moving by ensuring project fleet, plant, tools, equipment and site facilities are available, compliant and ready for use.
Working in a quick-paced project environment where accountability, planning and practical problem-solving are highly valued, you'll work closely with project managers, supervisors and construction teams to minimise downtime, coordinate logistics and maximise utilisation of project resources. This is a key operational role with direct influence on project productivity, safety and delivery outcomes.
This position can be undertaken by either a locally based employee or as a FIFO employee operating on a 19 days on, 9 days off roster. Camp accommodation is available for FIFO personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the mobilisation, allocation, maintenance and utilisation of project fleet, plant and equipment across the C2C project.
Manage servicing, repairs,



inspections and compliance activities to ensure assets remain safe, operational and project-ready.
Oversee project compounds, laydown yards, storage facilities and site logistics to support construction delivery.
Work closely with supervisors and construction teams to forecast equipment requirements and prevent disruptions to planned works.
Maintain accurate asset, equipment and inventory records while identifying opportunities to improve utilisation and reduce project costs.
About You
You're a practical and organised coordinator who thrives in project environments where priorities can shift quickly and operational decisions matter. You take ownership of outcomes, communicate effectively with field teams and contractors, and bring a proactive approach to solving problems before they impact delivery.
To be successful, you'll bring:
Experience coordinating plant, fleet, equipment or logistics activities within construction, utilities, infrastructure or related industries.
Strong administrative and systems capability, including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to maintain accurate operational records.
Sound understanding of safe work practices, equipment compliance requirements and project delivery environments.
A highly organised approach with strong planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
A resilient, accountable and collaborative mindset, with the confidence to make decisions, work through complexity and support operational teams to achieve results.
