About the Role
St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experiencedCareers Counsellorto join ourSecondary Yearsteam. You will play a key role in guiding students as they explore future study, training and career opportunities through a holistic and evidence-based career development program.
Offering the flexibility of atwo-day-per-week, term-time schedule, this role is ideal for an experienced education or careers professional looking to balance professional contribution with other commitments. You will build meaningful relationships with students and families, develop innovative career education programs, and connect learners with tertiary, industry and employment pathways that support their future success.

What You Bring
Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
Qualifications in Career Counselling and professional membership of a Career Industry Council of Australia affiliated organisation.
Demonstrated experience developing and delivering inclusive career education programs for secondary students.
Comprehensive knowledge of senior secondary,



tertiary and vocational education pathways, including QCAA, IB, VET and university entry requirements.
Strong relationship-building skills with students, staff, parents, tertiary providers, industry representatives and external stakeholders.
Commitment to ongoing professional learning and maintaining current knowledge of career development trends and labour market information.
Commitment to the College's Christian ethos and values.

Position Description
St Peters Lutheran College (Indooroopilly) is a P-12 coeducational day and boarding college of 2,250 students. The Lower Primary with Years Prep–4 has three classes at each level. The Upper Primary provides a program tailored to meet the needs of students in Years 5–6. St Peters Junior High offers Years 7-9 students a program to support young adolescents. The Senior School provides a program for Years ***** with the International Baccalaureate Diploma offered alongside VET and QSA courses.
