About the Role
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented
Project Officer
to support the coordination, preparation and publication of a major council's Annual Report.
Working closely with the Integrated Planning and Reporting and Communications and Marketing teams, you will coordinate the collection and review of content, monitor project milestones and help ensure the Annual Report is delivered within statutory and organisational timeframes.
This role would suit someone with experience in corporate reporting, integrated planning or the development of high-quality corporate documents within a large and complex organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate Annual Report activities, timelines and deliverables.
Maintain project documentation, submission trackers, approvals and outstanding actions.
Monitor and manage the dedicated Annual Report inbox.
Liaise with directors, managers and staff across the organisation to obtain required content.
Follow up with stakeholders to ensure submissions are received within project deadlines.
Maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries and content records.
Review submitted content for completeness, consistency and accuracy.
Apply copy-editing amendments, proofreading and formatting changes.
Support quality assurance, editing and publication processes.
Provide project and administrative support to the Integrated Planning and Reporting and Communications and Marketing teams.
Assist with the review and ongoing development of the Annual Report.
Ensure reporting activities comply with relevant statutory and organisational requirements.
Work independently, manage competing priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
Contribute to corporate reporting objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Relevant degree qualifications and/or equivalent experience and training in a similar position.
Demonstrated experience in corporate or integrated planning, reporting and performance measurement.
Experience developing and delivering key corporate documents.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading, editing and document-review skills.
Highly developed computer skills, including experience using corporate software systems.
Experience maintaining document libraries, records and tracking systems, preferably in SharePoint.
Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build effective working relationships across a large and diverse organisation.
Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
The ability to work independently and deliver accurate work within strict deadlines.
Robust written and verbal communication skills.
Highly Desirable
Knowledge of the NSW Integrated Planning and Reporting framework.
Experience preparing an Annual Report within local government.
Broader experience working in a council or local government environment.
Experience supporting business planning within a large organisation.
